Yesterday's Feelings

I have never really been into superheroes…

I guess when I thought about who I would choose, a children’s song came to mind. It’s really catchy (YouTube it!) and the chorus says:
“Jesus you’re my superhero,
 You’re my star,
 My best friend!”

He has rescued me from death and that really is as good as it gets.
:)

I really wish that I didn’t always take everything so personally.

It is a habit that I have had for as long as I can remember and it seems to get me in all kinds of trouble and causes me to get very upset at the worst of times. Thankfully, I feel that I am growing out of it and learning to have enough confidence to walk away with a smile on my face toward their lack of intelligence and personality.

‘Yesterday’s Feelings’ has been one of my favourite songs since I first discovered it in September of 2007. I can really relate to what it says about the feelings of the past being ‘lost in time’. I think it fits a blog page because what I impulsively post may present feelings that will mean nothing in the future.

Again, not in days but rather whenever I feel like it.

You need to lose some weight, pluck your eyebrows, fix that regrowth and eat better as to reduce your acne!!! But today I love you. You are the biggest weirdo with the nicest coloured eyes in the whole world. You’re better than they think and besides, if your appearance was perfect it would be an unfair advantage on everybody else, because you have a wicked personality and most ‘pretty’ people don’t. If you were as ugly as they try to make you feel, you wouldn’t have so many guys after you…

I wish that I could tell you how I feel without creating a huge mess. I wish that I could tell you the hopes that I have for us. I wish that I could tell you everything and I have you tell me everything, too. I wish that I knew you better. I wish that I could stop wishing it and start living it, but I am afraid and I really don’t want to scare you away.

She is probably my closest friend in the whole world.

I have known her for eight years now and I first met her when I moved into the house I live in now. She lives two houses away from me and I am so blessed to have somebody so amazing living so close. She had been ready to help me out since I was nine years old and I can’t imagine life without her. We have grown up together and have faced the good and the bad times as a team. It isn’t that she has changed me for one specific reason, but more that my life would be nothing like what it is if we had never been Biffles. She is everything I could ever ask for.

This will test my memory…

There was this guy who was the best mate of a boy I work with. He was tall and had a lot of hair on his head. His friend began work and I sat with him until I was due to start. He really was very friendly. He was one year younger than me and we had a conversation that was more than just small talk. Sure, I see him from time to time, but I can’t say that we ‘know’ each other.

She is one of my managers and I ‘Pinky Promised’ her that I would not judge her if she told me why she was feeling ill. 

She is a really great person and I am glad that I know her and extra glad that we get along as well as we do. Sometimes she doesn’t seem to realise that I am not being serious. She must think that I am really twisted… But we respect each other and make each other laugh and I think that these are two very important parts of a friendship.

There is one girl who I think is facing a really tough time at the moment. Things really get to her and she sees the world as unfair because she does not have the money, academic skills, looks or the attention from males that other girls might have. I guess I just hope that next year things will be better for her and that she will find where she fits and discover happiness.
